Sneak Peek: What Aldi Will Offer At Its Next Tech-Focused ‘Special Buys’

Since rolling out across Australia, Aldi’s weekly ‘Special Buys’ have caused excitement with consumers nationally, unveiling a suite of near gear every week – and on Saturday, September 16th, the offering will have a special consumer electronics focus.

These are the items the discount retailer will reportedly offer:

Voyager Quadcopter

RRP: $79.99

The Voyager Quadcopter is a drone which offers a 6-axis gyroscope for reliable flight, inclusive of stunt capability as 360-degree flips. The item comes with a 640×480 camera for remote viewing via an Android or Apple phone/tablet, enabling consumers to record their flight.

The item has a range of 45 metres and offers a flight time of around 6-7 minutes.

Chinese made, the drone includes a 1-year warranty.

Cocoon Virtual Reality Headset

RRP: $29.99

The Cocoon VR headset is compatible with Apple and Android phones sized from 4-inches to 6-inches. The headset is also Google Cardboard compatible and features plush padding for comfortable wear. The device includes a headphone jack and integrated magnetic button for actions in software.

Bauhn 65″ UHD TV

RRP: $849

This Bauhn TV will not be a ‘smart’ TV, however, it will include a digital tuner, UHD resolution (3840×2160), a 4000:1 contrast ratio, ability to record TV using a PVR function, and ability to playback video or view pictures/music on a connected external USB device.

The consensus is this item is tipped to sell out early.
