Snap One, that was recently acquired by ADI, is trying to make its first foray into the TV market with a range of Chinese-manufactured models designed specifically for outdoor use.

Despite having no prior experience in televisions, the company—best known for its Control4 home automation systems—has announced the SunBrite outdoor TV range, positioning it against Samsung’s established Terrace outdoor TVs.

Samsung’s Terrace series is renowned for its brightness and weather-resistant design, built for enduring outdoor conditions with commercial organisations choosing Samsung outdoor TV’s due to a lack of products from competitors in the consumer TV market.

Adam Merlino, VP & GM Asia Pacific at ADI and Snap One, confirmed that the new TVs are being trialed in the Australian market, despite the brand not being known locally.

He said the SunBrite Solis 4K Smart TV series and the SunBrite Veranda 4 series were engineered for direct sunlight, though he did not disclose which Chinese manufacturer is producing them.

“Outdoor living is a big part of life in Australia, and we’re excited to bring innovative new displays to the market,” Merlino said. “These TVs meet the unique needs of every customer—whether it’s a sunny patio, poolside lounge, or rooftop deck.” He also noted that the launch is part of an effort to explore new business opportunities for Snap One, which has faced challenges in recent years following the collapse of specialist dealers and custom installers in Australia.

The Solis series boasts 1,500 nits of 4K60 brightness, anti-glare screens, and Quarter Wave Plate Polarization (QWP) technology, improving visibility even for viewers wearing sunglasses. Its Eco Bright technology enhances full-screen brightness while reducing power consumption, extending the life of internal components. The Solis series will be offered in 49-, 55-, 65-, and 75-inch models.

Meanwhile, the Veranda 4 range delivers 600-nit peak brightness and features an RGB-W pixel configuration that increases brightness by 58% while using 36% less power and generating less heat than previous models. UL-certified and IP55-rated, these TVs use Eco Bright Outdoor Technology to prevent backlight failure in temperatures up to 50°C. Anti-glare QWP screens improve visibility, and the series comes with a two-year warranty and in-house support to ensure long-lasting 4K performance.

Like the Solis series, the Veranda 4 models are designed for both residential and commercial installations. A redesigned media bay with improved mounting points makes it easy to integrate AV accessories such as streaming devices or media players. The TVs support webOS 2.0, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, voice control, and ADI | Snap One’s OvrC Pro platform for remote monitoring, diagnostics, and system management. With third-party control system drivers and options for IP or IR remotes, Veranda 4 is ideal for shaded outdoor areas such as alfresco spaces and restaurant patios.

The Veranda 4 series debuts in 65″ and 75″ models, with 49″ and 55″ sizes expected in mid-2026. All models include two built-in 8-watt speakers.
