Savant Acquires Home Audio Brand Artison

Home automation company Savant has acquired audio components manufacturer Artison, best known for its range of integrated speakers, subwoofers and soundbars.

Savant said the acquisition would expand its Pro Audio offering and allow it to supply audio over IP solutions to integrators.

The company will also be able to utilise Artison’s “audio engineering expertise” as well as a number of key patents held by Artison on advanced speaker technologies.

“With Savant and Artison working cohesively together, we will unveil exciting new products engineered specifically for the luxury home and commercial markets,” said Savant CEO Robert Madonna.

Among the products on the way from Artison is a “unique, compact multi-channel amplifier technology” set for release later this year.

“We look forward to driving new product initiatives at Savant, working toward the design, engineering and delivery of truly innovative, superior performance entertainment and control products,” said Artison founder Cary Christie.
