Samsung To Finally Unveil Foldable Smartphone

Samsung Electronics is likely to introduce its foldable smartphone in August, according to industry insiders.

The announcement is expected at the Galaxy Unpacked online event in early August, where they will showcase both the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip3.

In April, Samsung Display filed a trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office and the Korean Intellectual Property Office for the name ‘S-Foldable’.

It was filed under a ‘Class 9’ application: “[For] display panels; display for smartphones; LCD large-screen displays; flexible flat panel displays for computers.”

This certainly suggests the new generation of foldable phones may appear under this name.
