Samsung Tipped To Release New Galaxy Watch

A report from SamMobile claims that Samsung may be looking to release a Pro model in their anticipated new range of Galaxy Watch 5 models. Typically, Samsung release a Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Classic annually, making the 5th generation the first with a Pro model.

The report states that the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will come with a rather sizeable battery upgrade, upgrading to 572mAh from the Galaxy Watch 4’s 361mAh, which had complaints of low battery life.

SamMobile also believe that the upgraded battery may be to compensate for a bigger screen. A previous report revealed the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Classic would sport a 40mm and 44mm face, but the exact size of the possible pro model is still a mystery.

The Galaxy Watch 5 is likely to come with Google’s Wear OS, but there is no news of processing power or capabilities just yet.

The wearables market has skyrocketed in demand over the last few years, making Samsung’s move to improve their range and add a more powerful and premium model one that brand loyalists and wearable lovers alike should get behind.

Samsung is yet to announce or confirm any of these rumors, so the leaked information may not represent the final model or the companies plans for their next generation of wearables.
