Samsung Releases Upgrade For Dolby Atmos Soundbar

Samsung has announced an upgrade to their highly popular K850 and K950 Dolby Atmos soundbars that allow them to fully support DTS mixes in true 5.1.

While both these bars have upfiring drivers that bounce sound around the room, giving you a more immersive movie experience they lacked the ability to play DTS 5.1 soundtracks by downmixing to stereo.

Now that problem has been fixed with a ‘3113’ firmware upgrade that allows owners to now play Blu Ray multi-channel mixes direct to the Dolby Atmos soundbar.

You can download the update by loading up the Samsung Multiroom app for iOS and Android, adding your soundbar to its speaker registry, and then hitting the ‘Software Update’ button.
