Samsung Opens Preorders For Gear S3 Oz Launch November 18th

Announced and shown back at September’s IFA Conference in Berlin, Samsung’s Gear S3 smartwatch is now available for preorder through Harvey Norman and Samsung’s retail and digital storefronts ahead of its full Australian launch on the 18th of November.

According to the company, “The Gear S3 is designed to create a synergy between classic watch form and design and is the most advanced wearable technology Samsung has ever created.”

 They say “the latest watch design from Samsung is inspired by the tradition of a classic timepiece and complemented by mobile technology that will support a highly customisable experience built to support the demands of a busy and adventurous lifestyle.”

The Gear S3 features quick access to apps via the rotating circular bezel, in-built GPS, health and fitness tracking, IP68 water resistance along with a built in speaker and microphone.

 It’s available in two variations – the Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic – with the former offering up more rugged aesthetics and enhanced protection courtesy of Gorilla Glass SR+, which promises to provide a tough, scratch resistant and crisp display.

Customers who preorder will receive a hero red watch band.

The Gear S3 has an RRP of $599 and is available on pre-sale from Harvey Norman, Samsung Experience Stores and the Samsung online store.
