Samsung Launches Mid-Tier Galaxy A8 In Oz

Set to intensify competition in the mid-tier smartphone market, Samsung has announced its new Galaxy A8 (A$649) is now available to buy in Australia.

With Dual Front Camera set-up and a 5.6″ FHD Super AMOLED display, the Galaxy A8 is locally available in ‘Black’ and ‘Orchid Grey’, both online and from authorised retailers.

Samsung affirms the new A8 forms an “essential part” of its smartphone portfolio, as the company endeavours to offer Australians a “wide range of choice”.

The new A8 follows the release of Samsung’s latest top-tier smartphones, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.

Garry McGregor, Vice President of IT and Mobile, Samsung Electronics Australia, affirms the A8 proves product choice is “core pillar” in Samsung’s commercial strategy:

“Offering a mobile portfolio that is tailored to the needs of Australians and that provides choice is a core pillar in our approach to make the best in Samsung mobile technology available to our customers, whatever their needs may be.”
