Samsung In Talks To Start Development of Galaxy Smart Ring

Samsung are in talks to begin serious development on the Galaxy Smart Ring, a new, more compact, wearable smart ring.

Claims suggest the company agreed on a printed circuit board supplier, which has been reported as the first step in development of a product like this.

However, it appears to still be a the prototype stage, with Samsung yet to fully commit to a full scale production.

So far, there are no other details surrounding this, but it definitely isn’t the first time murmurs have circulated around a Samsung Smart Ring. There have rumours for around three years.

A number of telling terms have also been trademarked for the project, including Galaxy Circle, Galaxy Pulse, Galaxy Index, and Galaxy Insight.

These follow the trademarking of Galaxy Ring earlier this yea, however it appears that the Circle, Index, Insight, and Pulse names could relate more to Samsung’s AR glasses.

For now, the latest products will be unveiled during the next Samsung Unpacked event taking place on July 26th, with expectations of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5, Watch 6, and Tab S9 Series being unveiled.
