Samsung Galaxy Home Mini Leaked

Despite remaining silent on why Samsung’s new Bixby-powered smart speaker missed its US release date, reports are surfacing that the Korean technology giant is already working on a follow-up to the Galaxy Home.

As spotted by CNET, a new US FCC filing revealed a mini version of its upcoming AI speaker.

In December 2018, SamMobile revealed that Samsung was developing a mini version of its smart speaker.

According to reports, this new “mini version” will use Bluetooth 4.2 and connects via micro USB rather than the new standard USB-C.

As Samsung requested that the FCC keep details confidential, not much else is known about the speaker.

In images, the Galaxy Home Mini features volume buttons, power button and AKG label on its top.

Samsung revised the Home speaker’s release date to “the first half of 2019”.

Australian release date and pricing is yet to be confirmed.
