Samsung Stay Silent As Galaxy Home Misses Release Date

Samsung’s Bixby-powered smart speaker has missed its previously announced US release date, but the company won’t reveal why.

It comes after the South Korean tech giant also pushed back the release of its Galaxy Fold smartphone after issues with its folding screen.

Samsung first announced the smart speaker in August last year.

At the same conference where the company unveiled the problematic Galaxy Fold, it announced the Galaxy Home would release in the US in April, a date it has now missed.

According to The Verge, Samsung has now revised its release to “the first half of 2019”, giving it just over a month.

An Australian release date is still to be confirmed for the speaker.
