PSB Launches PWM Sat Compact On-Wall Speakers With Synchrony Series Technology
PSB Speakers has expanded its PWM series with the PWM Sat, its smallest on-wall speaker model incorporating driver technology from the company’s flagship Synchrony Series.
Available in satin black or white finishes, the PWM Sat combines a 1-inch titanium dome tweeter with ferrofluid and a 4-inch woven carbon fibre woofer in a slim, wall-mounted design.
The bass reflex speaker measures 305 x 165 x 85mm (12 x 6.5 x 3.38 inches) and weighs 9.1kg per unit.
The speaker features an 8-ohm nominal impedance (6-ohm minimum), frequency response of 90-23,000Hz (±3dB on-axis), and 85dB sensitivity in typical listening rooms.
The MDF cabinet includes a magnetic cloth grille and acoustic transparent cloth face.
A two-piece locking bracket system enables horizontal, vertical, or ceiling mounting orientations.
This versatility allows the PWM Sat to function as main left/right channels, side or rear surrounds, height channels in Dolby Atmos configurations, or as a compact 2-channel system when paired with a subwoofer.

The speakers are tonally matched with other PSB PWM Series models and the company’s on-wall, in-room, and architectural speakers, ensuring consistent sound signature across mixed systems.
The PWM Sat targets users seeking wall-mounted audio solutions that align with TV placement, creating soundstages that appear to originate from the screen rather than floor-standing or shelf-mounted speakers below it.
The on-wall speaker category faces competition from brands including Acoustic Energy, Monitor Audio, and DALI. PSB positions the PWM Sat as a high-performance, space-saving option leveraging its Synchrony-derived driver technology.
The company recommends pairing the speakers with PSB’s BP7 or BP8 subwoofers for full-range performance.
The PWM Sat is priced at £749 (around $1000/$1500) per pair.
The speakers are available through PSB Speakers and authorised dealers.
