Overheating Cotton On Powerbank Recalled

Product Safety Australia has issued a recall for a portable charger bank sold by retailer Cotton On, the Pocket Power, due to a risk of overheating.

The recall applies to Pocket Power styles 419501 and 419502 with colour codes 01-23 sold online and in Cotton On and Cotton On Body stores in NSW, Queensland, SA, Victoria, and WA.

The product was sold during the period 26 October 2018 – 29 January 2019.

Style and colour codes can be located on the back of the packaging of the product.

According to the consumer watchdog, the product does not comply with the relevant electrical safety standards and has the potential to overheat leading to a risk of fire and electrical shock.

Consumers are advised to cease using the product immediately and return it to any Cotton On or Cotton On Body store for a full refund.
