Linksys ‘Most Powerful WiFi Router Ever’

Linksys Linksys WRT 1900AC will be available this month for $299. 

First unveiled at CES in January, the Dual Band Gigabit Wi-Fi Router WiFi router has a retro heritage-type feel, and looks similar to Linksys’ classic WRT 54G. 
Linksys has really gone to town on this open-source router and spec-ed it out with the fastest processor ever, a 1.2 GHz dual-core ARM CPU, supports 802.11a/b/g/n and 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard, 128MB Flash, 256MB DDR3 RAM, multiple ports, and is suitable for SMB’s, home users. 
It is Linksys flagship router and marks the reintroduction of the brand, now owned by Belkin. 
The super fast network device supports multiple users at once – even if downloading HD movies, Skyping, online gaming simultaneously. 
The 3X3 solution now works over greater distance – it has four external adjustable antennas (detachable) that allow Wi-Fi signal to be at maximum strength – and connects to more devices than ever. 
Linksys say the multiple antennas also enhance 2.5 GHz/5 GHz simultaneous dual wireless bands and eliminates dead zones in multistorey buildings. 
It also claims to have one of the fastest file transfer speeds available on a wireless AC router and has four Gigabit Ethernet ports, USB 3.0 port, eSATA port that doubles as a USB 2.0 port. 
It can be controlled remotely via Smart WiFi – Linksys cloud-based management system – via smartphone tablet, so you can control Wi-Fi network when not at home. 
It also has a network map also shows a visual o  all devices connected to the network, how much internet data each is consuming. 
The WRT 1900  can also be used with open source firmware Linux-based OpenWRT operating system, supports Internet Explorer 8, Safari 5, Firefox 8, Google Chrome.
