Optus Take On Telstra With New Unlimited NBN Plans

Optus has launched three new NBN plans with unlimited data on Optus’ Speed Pack 3, an included Optus Sport subscription and those that sign up to the top tier receive a Fetch Mighty set-top box and one premium channel pack.

Two of the new NBN Broadband bundle plans include a phone line at no extra charge for $85/mth and $99/mth or customers can opt for the Broadband only plan for $85/mth.

All standard, local and national calls, and calls to Australian mobiles will be included as part of the two broadband bundle plans.

All of the new plans provide unlimited data on Optus’ Speed Pack 3, which promises a typical evening speed of 40Mbps.

Additionally, customers on these new NBN plans will receive an Optus Sport subscription.

Furthermore, those who sign up to the $99/mth bundle plan (Min total cost $2475) will receive a Fetch Mighty set-top box and one premium channel pack.

“The three new plans will offer customers the option to sign up to a month to month contract, giving them the peace of mind to leave their plan at any time if they are not satisfied with the speed or service,” said Shawn Van Graan, Optus head of Product.

Van Graan also alluded to some “exciting new Optus NBN customer service initiatives” that will streamline the switch to NBN, that will be announced soon.
