OPPO is stepping up its flagship game with the global rollout of the Find X9 Series, featuring a 200MP Hasselblad camera system and the debut of ColorOS 16.

Touted as the brand’s most advanced smartphones yet, the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro now put them in direct competition with Apple and Samsung’s best.

Oppo has confirmed a global launch event for the phone, set to take place in Barcelona on October 28, following the device’s debut in China.

According to Pete Lau, OPPO’s SVP and Chief Product Officer, the new series represents a “monumental leap forward in imaging quality” due to the brand’s continued collaboration with Hasselblad.

The Find X9 Series introduces a refined aesthetic, featuring a matte glass finish, ergonomic aluminium frame and ultra-thin 1.15mm bezels around flat displays – 6.59 inches on the Find X9 and 6.78 inches on the Pro model.

Photography remains the centrepiece, led by the Hasselblad Master Camera System powered by OPPO’s LUMO Image Engine.

The flagship Find X9 Pro debuts a 200MP Hasselblad Telephoto lens, co-engineered for professional-grade optical precision and detail. Both models support 4K 120fps Dolby Vision and LOG recording with ACES for creators demanding cinematic quality and flexibility.

Oppo has equipped the lineup with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset – one of the first 3nm mobile platforms.

Battery life also gets a major boost with OPPO’s third-generation silicon-carbon batteries, delivering up to two days of use with capacities of 7025mAh and 7500mAh respectively.

The Find X9 Series will also debut ColorOS 16, OPPO’s most advanced software yet.

Built on the Luminous Rendering Engine and Trinity Engine, the new OS enhances fluidity, multitasking and device longevity through Project Breeze optimisation.

ColorOS 16 also introduces new visual and AI features including AI Portrait Glow, AI Eraser and Master Cut for quick, professional video edits.

The refreshed interface brings deeper customisation, dynamic wallpapers and an enhanced Always-On Display.

Connectivity sees a significant step up with O+ Connect, now compatible with Windows and Mac for seamless file sharing and remote control – even allowing users to mirror and operate up to five phone apps from their PC.

Australian pricing and availability will be announced following the Barcelona launch.
