Nutribullet has moved beyond blenders and into specialty countertop appliances with its entry into the frozen dessert category, Nutribullet Chill, now available to Australian consumers.

Measuring just 24.4cm by 14.6 cm, the appliance’s compact footprint targets smaller kitchens and is designed to be easier to store than competing products in the same category, like the popular Ninja Creami.

The Nutribullet Chill comes with three 470mL pint containers, lids and a cleaning brush. Users prepare their dessert base in advance by freezing ingredients in the supplied containers for around 24 hours before creating their frozen dessert in the machine. The appliance features efficient dual-direction blade technology to create a smooth texture, even with frozen mixtures.

The appliance is also compatible with selected Nutribullet blenders, allowing users to prepare, freeze and process recipes using the same container, adding convenience while reducing food preparation and clean-up.

Designed to have broad appeal beyond ice-cream lovers, Nutribullet Chill has five preset programs allowing users to prepare not only ice cream but also gelato, sorbet, frozen yogurt and smoothie bowls. Users can also customise their ingredients, appealing to those who prefer dairy-free, high-protein and reduced-sugar options or enjoy trialling and creating new recipes.

The specialty product reflects continued growth in the premium small appliance category, with brands expanding into niche kitchen products that allow consumers to make healthier, customised frozen desserts at home. Frozen dessert makers have emerged as a fast-growing segment, fuelled by social media trends and increasing interest in healthier, ingredient-controlled alternatives to commercially produced ice cream.

For retailers, it’s another premium small appliance option alongside proven popular products like blenders, air fryers and coffee machines. Its compact design and relatively accessible price point position it as an attractive impulse upgrade or gift purchase, particularly heading into the summer entertaining season.

The Nutribullet Chill ice cream maker retails at A$299.95 and is available now via Amazon, selected Australian retailers and NutriBullet Australia.
