Nintendo Switch 2 Version of 007 First Light Pushed To Later This Year
Nintendo Switch 2 owners will have to wait a little longer to play 007 First Light, with the James Bond title now set for a winter release in Australia.
IO Interactive’s spy action title is still locked in for a May 27 launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, marking its second delay after slipping from an original March release window.
IO Interactive says the extra time will ensure “the best game experience possible across all platforms,” but the move highlights ongoing challenges developers face bringing big-budget titles to Nintendo’s next-gen hardware.

The delay puts First Light alongside a growing list of troubled Switch 2 ports. Elden Ring remains without a firm release date after performance issues, while Borderlands 4 was ultimately shelved for the system.
Earlier hiccups around First Light included confusion over PC system requirements, which IOI later corrected after admitting an internal mix-up.
For now, Bond fans on Switch 2 are stuck waiting – a familiar mission briefing. Let’s just hope this one doesn’t turn into another licence to delay.
