New Logitech Webcam Caters To Streamers

Logitech have announced the C922 Pro Stream Webcam with a number of features that will appeal to professional and amateur streamers alike.

The successor to the popular C920 released in 2012, the new model includes a number of improvements reflecting almost five years since Logitech last released a webcam. The C922 is capable of streaming at 60fps in 720p resolution, matching the frame rate of many games and allowing the webcam footage to look fluid and natural alongside gameplay video. 1080p streaming is also available at 30fps.

Automatic low light correction and autofocus allow the camera to adjust to movement and changing lighting conditions, even accommodating for flickering lights and screens. Two omnidirectional microphones capture voice on either side of the camera.

Dynamic background replacement software is included with the webcam, letting streamers put themselves on top of the gameplay without using a green screen. A 3 month license for streaming program XSplit Premium is also included.

The Logitech C922 Pro Stream Webcam will be released soon with a recommended retail price of $169.95, and is bundled with a small tripod.
