New LG Door-in-Door Refrigerator Delivers Triple-Filtered Ice And Water
LG Electronics Australia has introduced its 906L LG Door-in-Door French Door Refrigerator (GP-5D906BSL), decked out with a triple filtration ice and water dispenser, and designed to deliver generous fridge space.
LG states that users can access chilled water and ice straight from the door at any time in measured volumes (one of seven volumes, ranging from 100 ml through to 1,500 ml, with a continuous pour function also available), with the filtration system “specifically designed to reduce residual chlorine and many contaminants found in tap water”.
The GP-5D906BSL features a diamond black stainless steel finish, with its surface fingerprint resistant, minimising the need to clean marks from the doors, while the door-in-door design “provides hassle-free access” to items, and also helps to keep food fresh by minimising cold-air loss.
Among the GP-5D906BSL’s other features, the Slim In-Door Ice Maker system is built into the refrigerator door, allowing users to use wide-open shelf spaces, the Pure N Fresh air purification system minimises odours, and the Smart Diagnosis app assists in troubleshooting issues.
LG’s Inverter Linear Compressor, with a 10 year parts warranty, “offers greater control of temperature with less vibration and less noise than a conventional compressor system”.
“Each year, Australians spend hundreds of millions of dollars on bottled water, and although plastic bottles are recyclable, many end up in landfill,” Brad Reed, LG Australia home appliance marketing manager, commented.
“Our new 3-Tier filtration function reduces the need for people to buy filtered water prepackaged and encourages them to bottle freshly filtered water at home instead.
“As a health-conscious and environmentally aware nation we predict the triple filtration water and ice system will be a very appealing feature of this new refrigerator.”
The GP-5D906BSL is available from selected Harvey Norman and Domain stores for $6,699 RRP.
