A regulatory filing shows that the new Galaxy Watch 6 series will most likely sport a brand new chipset, the Exynos W930.
An Exynos chipset with model number S5E5515 has appeared on the Bluetooth SIG, a regulatory board for products equipped with Bluetooth. This chip is the Exynos W930, the successor to the W920 which featured in the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5.
Samsung is expected to announce the Watch 6 at its Unpacked event next month, and rumours suggest it will feature an updated chipset.
The listing reveals the chip supports Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi, and will be manufactured using the 5nm process.
The Galaxy Watch 6 will run OneUI 5 Watch software, built of WearOS 4, and will bring back the rotating bezel that was missing from the Watch 5 series.
