New Boss at Fisher & Paykel

CEO at Fisher & Paykel Appliances Stuart Broadhurst has stepped down after ten years at the helm, with the company’s chief commercial officer and a board director, Daniel Witten-Hannah, replacing him in January.

The board decided to appoint Mr Witten-Hannah to the position in concert with Chinese company Haier, and Fisher & Paykel majority owners.

Haier Smart Home Group and Fisher & Paykel chair, Liang Haishan, described Daniel as ‘an exceptional leader and someone with the talent and drive needed to ensure the Fisher & Paykel brand meets its full potential’.

‘Under Daniel’s stewardship and supported by the executive team, I am confident of a seamless transition.’

In a statement released by the company, Broadhurst said he would be taking on new challenges after helping with the transition.

According to Broadhurst, the appointment had been part of a planned leadership change.

Haishan described Broadhurst’ tenure as one that showed ‘ambition for the brand and personal drive’ that was integral to the company’s success.
