New 15-Inch Apple MacBooks Set To Be Powered By M3 Chips

Reports are flying that Apple are Launching a new MacBook in the US spring in 13″ and 15″ forms, and they will be beefed up with Apple’s M3 chip. There are also rumbles of a redesigned Mac Pro.

It is, however, worth noting that the M3 Pro and M3 Max – more effective versions of the M3 – are believed to be impacting the scene in 2024. This will bring a further boost to product efficiency due to an improved 3nm node.

The upcoming Mac Pro and iMacs will also get significant upgrades. The M2 Ultra chip will bring 24 CPU cores, 76 GPU cores and as much as 192GB RAM to the Mac Pro, which should launch with the MacBooks.

Meanwhile, the iMac is believed to be getting the same M3 boost as the 13″ and 15″ Airs., and the standard 24″-screen iMacs are set for an upgrade, with predictions of major shifts in internal design.

As well as the new M-series SoCs, internal components and design have altered. There is also word of a new stand attachment.

Launch for this is expected to come in the second half of the year. There is also talk of the M3 chip powering an iPad Pro with an OLED screen.
