Netflix Doubles Down on Gaming With New App Built On Biggest Franchises
Netflix is doubling down on gaming with a new daily puzzle app built around some of its most recognisable franchises.
The app, Netflix Puzzled, forms part of the streamer’s broader push into games and will launch soon on iOS, Android and for the first time directly in a web browser via Netflix’s Tudum site.
Puzzled offers a mix of classics like sudoku alongside fresh spins on crosswords, word searches, jigsaws and logic games, all wrapped in Netflix-branded titles including Stranger Things, Squid Game, Bridgerton and Emily in Paris.
The launch comes as Netflix expands its gaming ecosystem.

Earlier this week, the company detailed a major ‘Games 2.0’ reboot, including mobile releases like Red Dead Redemption, WWE 2K25 and a growing catalogue of kids’ titles such as LEGO Duplo World and Paw Patrol Academy.
Netflix is also pushing into living-room play with its new TV gaming experience, which uses your phone as the controller, with no hardware required.
Fans of Stranger Things will get an extended run of daily puzzles from 26 November through to the release of the show’s final episode on New Year’s Eve, with some challenges unlocking behind-the-scenes extras.
Alain Tascan, Netflix’s President of Games, says the goal is to make games as accessible as streaming a show.
“You can go from watching KPop Demon Hunters to playing Pictionary: Game Night without ever leaving Netflix,” he said.
Puzzled sits neatly within that strategy, offering bite-sized daily challenges designed to keep subscribers engaged across devices. All games are free for existing Netflix users and include no ads or in-app purchases.
Netflix has been clear that it sees games as a long-term pillar of its business. Puzzled is shaping up to be its most mainstream play yet.
