Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella is to visit Australia next month – his first visit since being appointed CEO in February 2014.
A previous worker with Sun Microsystems, the Indian-born Nadella has concentrated at Microsoft on cloud computing, unlike predecessor Steve Ballmer.
His Australian visit will start in Melbourne on November 15, before he flies to Sydney to make a keynote address at a software developer event in Pyrmont on November 16
Nadella is expected to use both venues to outline the company’s plans for its intelligent cloud computing platforms, especially via its Azure cloud business, as well as its work on artificial intelligence.
