Indi Imports the Melbourne based distributor has hired well known sound industry executive Mike Wilson to head up their sales operation.
Wilson a veteran of the Hi Fi industry, quite Melbourne based Canohm to join Indi Imports who are a growth distributor following their appointment to sell several leading sound brands in Australia.
Among the brands that Wilson will be offering to retailers, are Elipson, Canton, Tangent Radio’s, Unity Audio speakers from the UK, Cyrus amplifiers as well as Sonoro a German Radio brand.
ChannelNews understands that Indi Imports will shortly make a major announcement regarding their appointment by a major sound brand.
During his career in Australia the ex pom, has worked for Qualifi as National Sales Manager, Amber and Scan Audio.
An experienced executive he has in the past also managed key accounts with JB Hi Fi and Harvey Norman, Bing Lee, Myer, Costco and The Good Guys.
According to Indi Imports Director Denise Riachi, Wilson brings a wealth of expertise to Indi.
“He is well known, is an excellent sales executive and passionate about this industry”.
“What we are doing is securing the brands that we believe will deliver growth for retailers, while also appealing to the millennial target audience”.
“We have already secured several brands that this target audience is investing in”.
