Microsoft Release Wired Xbox Stereo Headset

Earlier this year, Microsoft released a wireless stereo headset for the Xbox Series X/Series S, and now they have announced a wired version that packs the same audio support, but at a reduced price (plus, there’s no need for batteries, either).

The Xbox Stereo Headset is compatible with Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 PCs. Soundwise, it supports Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone:X, and sports the same omni directional mic as the wireless version.

Microsoft says of the spatial audio, “the team tuned the headset to replicate the intended audio recording source that the creators wanted you to experience, across gaming, team chat, music, and movies.”

The headsets will retail for approximately $89, and will be available from September 21.
