Microsoft Add AAC Bluetooth Support To Windows 10

Windows 10’s most recent updates angered gamers, who found their once-pristine gaming experience was hampered by glitching, frame rate issues, and crashes.

The next update is, however, sure to get audiophiles onside, as Microsoft will finally add support for the AAC Bluetooth audio codec, more commonly used on Apple products.

If you use AirPods and are frustrated by being limited to SBC (subband codec) and AptX, you’ll be thrilled by this update.

It also suggests a softening on Apple’s bluetooth headphones.

Another Windows 10 update that will help this along is the simplification of their Bluetooth inputs menu, which will just automatically select the correct Bluetooth profile once you select a device, replace the messy multi-profile menu now available.
