Logitech Unveil New Motion-Control Speakers

Logitech announced its new premium desktop speaker, the MX Sound, which supports Bluetooth paring and motion-sensor controls.

The MX Sound’s small, sleek design features the silver accent rings with a premium fabric cover, and the motion-activated backlit controls provide easy volume control.

Thanks to its drivers, the MX Sound can pump out high-quality audio, and is able to produce a peak of 24 wattage.

Pairing with smart devices is also supported via Bluetooth 4.1. The two 3.5mm inputs and a headphone jack are also built in.

The speakers are also designed to switch into standby mode after 20 minutes of inactivity, helping conserve power.

“With MX Sound you now can have amazing audio in a product designed to complement even the most premium desktop environment,” said Philippe Depallens, vice president and general manager of Logitech Audio.

This exceptional speaker was designed from the ground up to provide an immersive experience whether you are streaming from your computer, smartphone or tablet.”

The Logitech MX Sound is expected to be available by the end of the month, with an RRP of $149.
