LG Adds ANC To True Wireless Buds

LG has added active noise cancellation to its TONE Free range of wireless earbuds with its new product, HBS-FN7.

Like the FN6, which released earlier this year, the new earbuds are built with Meridian Audio technology and come with a carrying case with built-in UV light for self-cleaning. The new buds, however, also include three microphones on the exterior of each, to monitor and neutralise external noise.

According to Park Hyung-woo, head of LG Home Entertainment Company’s audio and video division, the new ANC technology in the FN7 buds offers clearer and more natural sound even in noisy, busy settings.

“LG has always striven to deliver more options to consumers and with our newest TONE Free earbuds we are expanding our lineup to audiophiles who desire the very best that audio technology has to offer,” said Park.

The carry case has also been upgraded, and now features an LED light to indicate battery and UV light status.

The buds released today in South Korea, and are expected to reach other markets in North America, Europe, and Asia by the end of the year.
