Lenovo Unveils New Look Gaming PC & Laptop Lineup

Lenovo has refreshed its gaming PC & laptop line up with six new systems, featuring gaming capabilities in sleek, understated designs. The new models claim to separate Lenovo from rival gaming devices, which incorporate ‘flashing lights’ and obtrusive logos.

The company’s Legion gaming range now features six new systems –  Y730/Y530 laptops, C730/C530 cubes and T730/T530 towers.

The new range features dark, sleek and more sophisticated designs, however, is likely not aimed at max intensity gamers, due to hardware specifications.

Lenovo’s Legion Y730 and Y530 incorporate Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1050Ti GPU and eight-gen Intel Core i7 processors.

The new gaming cubes feature eighth-gen Intel Core i7 processors, optional RGB system lighting, a 19-liter gray coloured chassis and support up to a GTX 1060, 32GB DDR4 RAM.

The two new ATX towers (T730 and T530) feature optional GPUs up to Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060.

Commentators speculate some gamers will be constrained by the towers’ graphics card, despite incorporating eighth-gen Core i7 chips, dual SSDS in RAID 0 and up to 32GB RAM.

Whilst Australian pricing and availability is yet to be confirmed, Lenovo’s new Y370 will launch in the US in September for US$1,249.99 (17-inch) and US$1,179.99 (15-inch).

The new 15-inch Y530 is set to hit US stores in July for US$929, and the new desktops landing in August from US$829.
