Lenovo has launched its 2023 line up of Legion gaming laptops, including the Pro Series, Slim Series and
Lenovo LOQ Series.
The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i and 7 are touted as the world’s most powerful 16-inch gaming laptops, with AI to maintain maximum performance. Both models also feature a 99.99Whr battery, “the largest allowed in the internal cabin of most airplanes,” the company reminds us.
This year’s lineup also features 16-inch Lenovo Legion Slim 7i and 7 laptops, 16-inch Lenovo Legion Slim 5i and 5, and an all-new size – the 14-inch Lenovo Legion Slim 5.
In addition, Lenovo has launched a new sub-brand, the Lenovo LOQ, an entry-level gaming series featuring two 16-inch laptops (16IRH8 and 16APH8), two 15-inchers (15IRH8 and 15APH8), and a mighty-looking Lenovo LOQ Tower 17IRB8, a desktop PC that looks like a space module.
The 16-inch Lenovo LOQ’s have an 80Whr battery for up to seven hours of play, while the 15-inch laptops have a 60Whr battery for up to six hours.
“Every new Lenovo gaming laptop in this line up will sport the world’s first dedicated AI-powered chips in gaming laptops, which powers Lenovo AI Engine+, a machine learning software that provides gamers with the most
optimal system settings for the best gaming experience and performance,” the company explains.
The Lenovo AI Engine+ runs a “scenario-detection algorithm” on the hardware engine which allocates wattage between CPU and GPU to optimise performance and helps minimise fan noise.
