Lenovo Appoint Gaming Business Development Manager

Lenovo has continued its commitment to its Legion gaming division with the appointment of Ben Williams to Gaming Business Development Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Arriving from Gfinity Esports Australia, Mr Williams will be responsible for driving the growth of Lenovo Legion through engagement with publishers, influences and partners.

With the rise of e-sports here in Australia and around the world, Lenovo is looking to innovate and cultivate gaming experiences for its customers by looking to individuals who have built their career within the video game industry.

Williams initially worked at EB Games for over five years, starting as a product analyst before finishing as Senior Preowned Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Matt Codrington, Managing Director for Lenovo ANZ, said ‘PC gaming is a big focus for the company in the next couple of years, and Ben’s extensive experience in the market makes him the perfect candidate to fill this role’.

His extensive experience from PAX Aus and Oz Comic-Con with ReedPOP, as well as sales management with Twitch, brings the expertise of a true gamer and influencer.

Mr Williams is hoping to guide the Lenovo Legion Brand ‘to its rightful place in the ANZ gaming scene’, seeing the gaming division alongside ‘the 2/3 of Aussies and Kiwis that play games’.

Lenovo had advertised the role through LinkedIn six months ago, looking for an individual to achieve the sales and profitability goals in the consumer gaming space by delivering ‘a winning route to market strategy’.
