Leaked: Nokia 2 Images, ‘Compelling’ Entry Level Smartphone

Thanks to HMD Global, Nokia is working hard to pursue a market comeback, and today’s leaked images reveal what its upcoming affordable smartphone, the Nokia 2, is set to look like.

Notable tech leaker Evan Blass posted the images to Twitter.

The smartphone appears to feature a rear lens camera positioned above a LED flash. A single front camera is also visible. Nokia’s branding is apparent on both the front and back.

The entry-level device also includes on-screen buttons, which is notably a first for their range. From the images, it’s unclear what the display size or resolution will be.

Given the phone is likely to cater to the price conscious or entry level portion of the smartphone market, rumours state the device will feature a Snapdragon 2xx series chipset, 1GB of RAM and a storage capacity of 8GB. Word is, there may also be a microSD card slot.

Rumours state the device may be comprised of a 4.5″ or 5″ display with 720p resolution. The device is said to run upon stock Android software which Nokia is complimenting with regular updates.

Sources state Nokia is positioning the device as a ‘compelling’ offering for the entry level smartphone consumer.
