LASER Appoints Samsung Exec As New Sales GM
Australian owned LASER has appointed former Samsung senior executive, George Nasr, as its new General Manager of Sales, as it prepares to release several new product categories next year.
Mr Nasr was most recently the National Head of Sales for Samsung Australia’s air conditioning division, and prior to this spent over a decade at Yamaha Music as its Deputy General Manager of AV.
He is tasked with managing LASER’s retail/channel partners, whilst driving the brand’s expansion into new categories and markets (e.g. pet-tech, fit-tech and home automation).
With a background in sales management, Nasr will also oversee three new LASER sales personnel.
Chris Lau, LASER Managing Director, claims the appointment follows a period of significant growth:
“Naturally, we are excited to bolster our sales team and welcome George to the LASER family”
“His leadership and wealth of business development experience will allow us to further grow in partnership with our long-term retail partners, while driving the introduction of new product categories that will see us expand even further.”
Founded in 1987, LASER is one of Australia’s fastest growing consumer electronics brands, with over 500 products across 13 categories.
The company’s stable of affordable products is said to be a fast seller in retailers such as Big W.
