
Kogan.com has today relaunched Dick Smith as an online-only technology retailer in Australia and New Zealand.
While the doors have shut on Dick Smith’s brick-and-mortar stores, Kogan.com acquired the Dick Smith online business in March, launching the Australian and New Zealand websites today a month ahead of schedule.
“We are extremely proud of the speed with which we were able to relaunch the Dick Smith online business, with a leading website, product range and back-end systems to power the operation,” David Shafer, Kogan.com and Dick Smith executive director, commented.
Dick Smith online will offer 5,500-plus products, from smartphones to home appliances, with a relaunch sale currently being run.
“Dick Smith’s recent history has been disappointing for many Australians, but for millions of us, it is an iconic brand we all know and love,” Shafer stated.
“We will work hard to restore the faith Australians have put in the Dick Smith brand for almost 50 years.”
