The just-announced Hauwei Ascend P7 has a 5″ 1080p display, quad-core 1.8GHz processor, 124g, a super glossy glass back, 8mp Blue Glass infrared sensor front camera and 13mp rear, 16 GB memory and 2GB RAM.
The super thin Android 4.4.2 KitKat smartphone runs 4G but there also a button that lets you switch back to 3G if you want to save power. This device will be at the high end competing against fellow Androids Samsung S5, HTC One M8 and iPhone 5.
Huawei’s hero phone is “likely” to be winging its way down under soon although no time frame has been confirmed, a Huawei Australia spokesperson told Smarthouse.
Last week, Huawei launched mid-tier G6 smartphone locally, but just hours earlier the hero P7 had been unveiled in Paris, leaving some media feeling a bit short changed.
