Myer’s New Online Warehouse

MyerThe warehouse is located in Maidstone, Victoria, according to reports.

“The Myer online warehouse will support existing store fulfilment, complementing our current fulfilment stores,” said Myer online GM, Richard Harrison.
The move to support online orders with a new warehouse, suggests the department store expects a busy Christmas trading period.
The new fulfilment centre is operated by Cargo Services, who is now providing logistics services to Myer’s online business to meet projected fulfillment volumes, particularly over peak trading.
It will hold the 15,000 fastest turning SKUs, with 500,000 units expected to be dispatched in the first 12 months at a significantly lower cost than store-based fulfilment, according to Myer’s annual report, released Friday.
The department store, a latecomer to the ecommerce race, says its online business continues to climb the store rankings, and trades in the top 25 largest stores in the Myer network, “in some weeks.”
Myer’s ‘Click and Collect’ service has been live since December 2012 last, and plans to accelerate the service for Christmas trading.
Myer says it now has fully fledged as it ramps up its omni channel offering and in-house digital team, which delivers  social media, e-commerce, digital advertising, web design and email marketing services.
