Husqvarna is expanding its Automower line-up in Australia, unveiling four new NERA robotic mowers that bring wire-free technology, systematic mowing, and advanced connectivity to suburban backyards.

The new models – the Automower 305E NERA, 405XE NERA, 435X AWD NERA, and 310E NERA – build on the Swedish company’s long-standing leadership in robotic mowing.

Each offers the choice of traditional boundary wire installation or Husqvarna’s EPOS satellite-based system, which enables virtual boundaries controlled via the Automower Connect app.

While all NERA models work with standard boundary wires, wire-free mowing via EPOS requires an additional plug-in module ($649) and reference station ($499).

For smaller gardens, the 305E NERA and 405XE NERA cover up to 900m².

Both feature Husqvarna’s EdgeCut technology, with an extra rear cutting disc to keep borders neat, reducing the need for manual trimming.

The 405XE also adds ultrasonic object avoidance for a smoother run around toys, balls or garden tools.

The 310E NERA extends coverage to 1,500m² when paired with EPOS. Like the smaller models, it supports app-based control and adjustable cutting heights (20–55mm).

Husqvarna is at the cutting-edge of robotic mower technology

At the top end, the 435X AWD NERA is designed for large and complex gardens.

With all-wheel drive, it tackles slopes of up to 70% within its mowing area and covers up to 5,000m², depending on the installation.

Connectivity includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular options, while systematic mowing increases efficiency by up to 50%, delivering striped, checkerboard, or carpet-like finishes.

Husqvarna has also pushed a major upgrade across the NERA range – systematic mowing.

Instead of random patterns, the mowers now cut lane by lane, improving coverage and reducing mowing time.

Pricing is $2,499 for the 305E NERA, $3,299 for the 405XE NERA, $3,199 for the 310E NERA, and $7,399 for the 435X AWD NERA.
