Hitachi Home Appliances’ Made in Japan refrigerator range is now available at Winning Appliances stores across Australia, marking a major expansion of the premium refrigeration category and reinforcing the brand’s focus on quality, innovation and customer experience.

To support the launch, Beko ANZ, the Australian distributor of Hitachi Home Appliances, rolled out a nationwide in-store training program led by its Territory Managers. The initiative equips Winning Appliances’ retail consultants with in-depth product knowledge and practical selling techniques, ensuring they can confidently communicate the range’s premium features and benefits to customers.

The Made in Japan range showcases a suite of advanced food preservation technologies designed for modern households. Among the standout features is the Vacuum Compartment, which slows oxidation to help keep fresh foods fresher for longer, while AeroCare technology maintains optimal conditions throughout the refrigerator to preserve nutrients. The flagship R-ZX740RA model also features an Auto Door that opens with a simple touch, reflecting Hitachi’s commitment to intuitive, human-centred design.

The partnership aligns with Winning Appliances’ reputation for offering premium home appliances supported by knowledgeable sales staff. Early feedback from stores indicates the retailer’s team has quickly embraced the product’s key selling points following the training sessions.

Eddie Gaymer, National Sales Manager at Beko ANZ, said educating retail teams was a critical part of the launch strategy.

“The Hitachi Made in Japan range has a genuinely compelling story, and our job is to make sure every retail partner can tell it well,” Gaymer said. “Getting our Territory Managers on the floor at Winning Appliances, working directly alongside their team, is a great example of how we approach every retail partnership. When a sales consultant truly understands what the Vacuum Compartment does, or why Auto Door matters in a busy family kitchen, that knowledge comes through in the conversation, and customers feel it. That’s what converts.”

Gaymer said the hands-on approach reflects Beko ANZ’s long-term commitment to supporting its retail partners beyond product distribution.

“We don’t just drop product and walk away. We invest in making sure the people selling our brands understand them as well as we do. The Winning team are already telling this story beautifully, and that’s exactly what we set out to achieve.”
