Google Stadia Refunds Issued Over Next Two Weeks

Google will be refunding customers for Stadia hardware bought from the Google Store within the next fortnight.

The cloud gaming service officially closes on January 18, after Google made the announcement in September.

Those who bought the Stadia controller, the Founder’s Edition, the Premiere Edition, and Play and Watch with Google TV packages are all eligible for refunds, according to Google. So is all in-game currency.

Stadia Pro subscriptions are not eligible for refund, however “you will be able to continue playing your games in Pro without further charges until the final wind down date”, Google points out.

Interestingly, Google isn’t even requiring that users return the hardware in order to receive a refund – although given the cloud server will be down, this means more useless junk cluttering your gaming space.
