Google Rolls Out Certification For Third-Party Accessories

At its recent unveiling event, Google announced it will be rolling out a certification program for third-party accessories, named “Made for Google”.

Similar to the method employed by Apple, Google’s certification program will recommend approved accessories for users to integrate with their devices.

“Made for Google” will encompass a product suite including; phone cases, USB-C earbuds and power adapters.

Google’s own accessory product suite “Made By Google” will still remain, and should not be confused with the new “Made for Google” certification program.

The certified accessories program will launch with twenty five approved third-party brands, such as phone and tablet case manufacturer ‘Incipio’.
