Google Pixel Buds Pro Could Get A Major Update Soon

Google have implied the Pixel Buds Pro that were released last year could be getting a major software update, to not only include spatial audio support and five-band equaliser, but the introduction of Clear Calling, and ‘Super Wide Band Speech.’

Clear Calling is exclusively limited to Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, offering a better way to communicate with others via the phone, enhancing a caller’s voice and reducing background noise.

It has been unclear though whether this will work entirely through the earbuds or if it will rely on a paired smartphone.

Another improvement expected is the ‘Super Wide Band Speech,’ improving the voice quality by increasing bandwidth from 16kHz to 32kHz.

The Pixel Buds Pro come with a custom 11mm driver and a 6-core audio processor. They are known to adapt to the shape of the user’s ear, maximising noise cancellation, and feature a transparency mode, making the user aware of their surroundings.
