Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Orders Highest Of Note Series

Samsung states pre-orders for its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 8, are the highest it has received for the Note series to date.

President of Samsung Electronics’ Mobile Communications, DJ Koh, states the company has received positive feedback for the Note 8, following pre-orders from about 40 countries:

“Since the August 23 New York unpack, many buyers and partners said the initial response is very encouraging”.

Reports state that the company is hoping the Note 8 will retain its market dominance in light of Apple unveiling its new suite of iPhones this week. Samsung is currently heralded the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer by market share.

On Friday, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 will go on sale in the United States and South Korea. The device will be available for sale in Australia on the 22nd of September.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be priced at A$1,499 and available in ‘Midnight Black’ and ‘Maple Gold’. As such, analysts state its will pioneer a new era of premium-priced smartphones, which will likely be joined by Apple’s $1,000+ new iPhones.

Apple’s ten-year anniversary flagship handset will likely compete with Samsung’s Note 8 for pre-holiday season sales.
