Two Microsoft VP’s Gone

Former CEO Of Skype Tony Bates and now Executive Vice President of business development and evangelism , along with Tami Reller EVP of marketing are both to leave Redmond, reports Re/code

The departures of two very senior execs comes just weeks after Satya Nadella was installed as Microsoft CEO. 

Both VPs were members of Microsoft’s Senior Leadership Team.  

Long time Microsoft veteran Tami Reller, who has been with the company since 2001 will be replaced by Microsoft marketing exec Chris Capossela, who will also be VP of advertising. 

Meanwhile Bates, who had been rumoured as a potential candidate for the top job at Redmond will be replaced by EVP of advanced strategy Eric Rudder. 

Tech industry veteran Bates is already said to be in line for several CEO roles including camera giant GoPro.
