Ferrari’s First EV Powered by Samsung OLED Dashboard Tech
Ferrari’s first electric supercar is making headlines for more than its controversial styling, with Samsung Display revealing it has supplied a futuristic OLED dashboard unlike anything previously seen in a production vehicle.
The Ferrari Luce features four custom OLED displays developed exclusively by Samsung Display, bringing smartphone-inspired screen technology into the luxury EV market.
The cockpit was designed in collaboration with LoveFrom, the design firm founded by former Apple design chief Sir Jony Ive.
At the centre of the interior is a layered digital instrument cluster that combines two OLED panels with physical analogue-style hands moving between them.

Samsung says the setup is an industry first, designed to blend traditional Ferrari styling with next-generation digital interfaces.
The driver’s binnacle uses a 12.9-inch OLED stacked above a 12-inch OLED, with large circular cut-outs allowing parts of the lower display and mechanical gauges to remain visible.
Samsung adapted its HIAA (Hole in Active Area) technology, which was originally developed for smartphone punch-hole cameras, to create openings roughly 100mm wide, about 20 times larger than those found in mobile devices.
Additional OLED panels include a 10.1-inch central infotainment display and a 6.3-inch rear passenger control screen.

Ferrari says the system delivers a more immersive cockpit while retaining tactile controls often missing in modern touchscreen-heavy vehicles.
Samsung Display said the project highlights the growing role of OLED technology in automotive design, due to its thinner structure, flexibility and lower power consumption compared with traditional LCD panels.
The Ferrari Luce is powered by four electric motors producing up to 1,035 horsepower, with Ferrari claiming 0–100km/h acceleration in 2.5 seconds.
Pricing in the US starts at around US$640,000 (A$895,000), with production due to begin in late 2026 ahead of deliveries in 2027.
