Former Electrolux commercial director Troy Hincho has resigned from Melbourne-based appliance distributor Residentia Group to take up a senior leadership role with BSR Group, the Queensland-based parent company of Betta Home Living and a key member of the Narta buying group.

Hincho, a well-known figure in the appliance industry, joined Residentia two years ago after leaving Swedish manufacturer Electrolux. During his tenure, he helped steer the company through a challenging period following the sudden death of CEO Nathan Cleary in October last year.

ChannelNews understands that Hincho will take on the newly created role of Chief Retail Officer at BSR Group, which underwent a major store rebrand in 2023.

In a statement provided to ChannelNews, Hincho praised his former colleagues at Residentia, saying:

“I am very pleased with what the team at Residentia has achieved over the last two years, especially following the tragic loss of Nathan last October.”

He continued,

“Residentia is demonstrably Australia’s fastest-growing independent appliance company and has attracted some of the industry’s best talent. Exciting times are ahead for that business.”

Turning to his next chapter, Hincho said he was “excited to join the BSR Group.”

“I genuinely think some of the country’s best retailers operate within the BSR network, and I’m keen to do anything I can to support them in a super-competitive retail environment,” he said.

Kelly Grey left seen with Zoe Daniels

Before his departure, Hincho announced a key restructure at Residentia, naming Zoe Grange as National Sales Manager – Commercial, where she will lead the company’s commercial sales division.

Gray, who joined Residentia in 2022, will work closely with volume home builders and expand the company’s commercial reach nationally.

Hincho also confirmed that Kelly Gray has been promoted to Sales Director, overseeing both retail and commercial operations.

“Kelly had formerly led our retail business through continued growth and success since 2019 and will no doubt enjoy her leadership journey as she brings her focus on business excellence into the commercial space,” he said.

Hincho’s appointment at BSR Group strengthens the company’s leadership team as it looks to enhance support for its retail network and further consolidate its position in the competitive appliances and consumer electronics market.
