Everything We Can Expect With The iPhone 13

The iPhone 12 models have only just hit the shelves after a blockbuster launch, but Apple analysts are already looking to the future with the iPhone 13.

It is believed the iPhone 13 will have a September 2021 release, following Apple’s pattern of introducing a new model each year.

Noted industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts the iPhone 13 series will also have four models – the mini, standard, Pro and Pro Max.

Kuo also believes the iPhone 13 rear camera will receive a significant upgrade from the 12, with the ultrawide lens reportedly set to be improved to a f/1.8, six-element lens. The iPhone 12 Pro cameras currently have f/2.4, five-element lenses.

This advanced lens allows more light to be captured, leading to better quality shots.

This upgrade is due to carry over to the iPhone 14 in 2022, Kuo says.

It is also rumoured that Touch ID could make a comeback in the 13 series, with the sensor potentially embedded under the screen like other models such as the LG Velvet.

The 13 series could also be shipped with an unprecedented 1TB of internal storage.

While analysts are naming the unreleased next generation of smartphones the iPhone 13, it is entirely possible Apple may choose another name after it skipped 10 with the iPhone X.

Apple leaker LeaksApplePro also took to Twitter to reveal the expected sizes and prices of the iPhone 13.

The 5.4’’ iPhone 13 mini will be priced at US$699 ($A960), the 6.1’’ iPhone 13 will be US$799 ($A1100), the 6.1’’ iPhone 13 Pro at US$999 (A$1370) and the 6.7’’ iPhone 13 Pro Max will be US$1,099 ($A1500).
