Elon Musk has hinted at plans to bring Vine, the six-second video app that Twitter shut down in 2016.

Musk polled his 112 million Twitter followers yesterday, asking if they wanted the once-popular video app back.

In addition, Axios reports that Musk has tasked a team of engineers with working on a reboot of the once-popular short form video app, with a goal of launching before the end of the year.

It makes a lot of sense, given Vine was the proto-Tik Tok, with over 200 million users at its December 2015 peak.

When popular YouTube star MrBeast commented it would be hilarious if Musk competed directly with TikTok, Musk asked “what could we do to make it better than TikTok?”
