Geek IT Snares Bag Accessories Deal With Conexus

Former Belkin Sales Director Mary Henderson who 18 months ago set up Geek IT  M has entered into a global strategic distribution partnership with Conexus to distribute a range of Australian designed bags as well as an extensive range of  stylish USB cables, MP3, PDA and mobile accessories, throughout Australia with the view to take the range to Asia and USA markets in 2009.

Mark Daley, Director Sales & Marketing, Conexus said that the company’s desire to explore new product categories, new markets and be the forefront of new consumer trends were key reasons underpinning
their decision to add GeekIT accessories to their product portfolio. “GeekIT has recognised and successful exploited a gap in the market with their range of fashion inspired technology accessories. Traditionally technology accessories have been viewed as a mass produced necessity, however GeekIT’s positioning of these as covetable design pieces that look good, yet are affordable and practical, creates a unique opportunity to take the products into new, non traditional retail channels, as well as take advantage of consumers’ growing appetite for gadgets and customisation,” said Daley.

Commenting on the partnership GeekIT’s CEO Mary Henderson said that as a distributor, Conexus provided the perfect fit for GeekIT. “Right from the outset we were looking for a partner, not just a
distributor, for our range, and someone who is as passionate about the market opportunity for a line of fashion accessories for technology products, as we are. Our relationship with Conexus is collaborative from design, manufacturing, sales and marketing – we work collectively exploring new opportunities, both locally and abroad, to bring to the technology accessories market something new and exciting.”
